JinAir to expand internationally in October

JinAir (subsidiary of Korean Air) (Seoul-Gimpo) will expand internationally into China and Thailand starting in October. The premium short-haul carrier commenced operations on July 17, 2008.

Korean Air celebrates its 40th Anniversary

Korean Air (Seoul) on March 1 celebrated its 40th Anniversary of being privatized from the state-run Korean Air Lines on March 1, 1969.

Previously Korean National Airlines was reorganized and renamed Korean Air Lines on March 3, 1962.

Korean Air orders six Airbus A330-200s

Korean Air (Seoul) has placed an order for six Airbus A330-200s according to the carrier. Airbus has not confirmed the order. Previously KAL increased its Airbus A380 order by two to 10.
