Spirit Airlines to expand Airbus A321 operations in 2018

Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) according to Airline Route, in 2018 will expand the number of Airbus A321 routes as more deliveries take place. The carrier will add new A321 routes from Chicago (O’Hare), Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston (Bush Intercontinental), Orlando and Tampa.

The new A321 routes:

Chicago O’Hare – Cancun daily starting on March 15, 2018

Chicago O’Hare – Houston daily from April 12, 2018

Chicago O’Hare – San Diego daily from April 12, 2018

Chicago O’Hare – Seattle/Tacoma daily from April 12, 2018

Chicago O’Hare – Tampa daily from March 15, 2018

Dallas/Ft. Worth – Minneapolis/St. Paul daily from April 12, 2018

Dallas/Ft. Worth – New York (LaGuardia) daily from April 12, 2018

Houston (Bush Intercontinental) – San Diego daily from April 12, 2018

Orlando – Baltimore/Washington daily from March 8, 2018

Tampa – Atlanta daily from April 12, 2018

Spirit Airlines to add two seasonal routes from Minneapolis/St. Paul

Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) starting in April 2016, will begin new seasonal daily service between the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and the Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).

Spirit’s new seasonal service between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Philadelphia will operate from April 14, 2016 through November 9, 2016, and between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Boston will operate from April 28, 2016 through September 7, 2016.

This announcement follows Spirit’s recent announcement of new daily nonstop service between MSP and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL), also starting in April 2016. With these additions, Spirit will operate nonstop service from Minneapolis-St.Paul to 16 cities, including Atlanta (starting 4/14/2016), Baltimore/Washington DC, Boston (starting 4/28/2016), Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Fort Myers, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Philadelphia (starting 4/14/2016), Phoenix, and Tampa.

Spirit Airlines announces Las Vegas – New Orleans flights

Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) has announced daily, nonstop service to and from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY) and McCarran International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas.

This new daily service begins on November 13, 2015 and brings the total number of Spirit nonstop flights to six destinations from New Orleans including Chicago (O’Hare), Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood, Houston (Bush Intercontinental), Dallas/Fort Worth, and Detroit.

Spirit operates 28 daily departures to 19 destinations from Las Vegas.
