A PSA Airlines pilot was arrested at Louisville International Airport before his flight. The pilot was taken into custody and is being charged for three murders in November 2015 in Pembroke, KY.

American selects PSA Airlines to operate 24 additional Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft
PSA Airlines (2nd) (Dayton) has been selected by American Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth) to operate 24 new Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen aircraft. This aircraft assignment to PSA follows American exercising 24 of its 40 CRJ900 NextGen aircraft options. The options were originally acquired as part of American’s large regional jet order announced in December 2013.
PSA will induct the 24 additional CRJ900 NextGen aircraft beginning in November 2015, with all aircraft being received by August 2016. These modern and fuel-efficient aircraft will be operated under the American Eagle brand and will provide American’s customers with a seamless transition between mainline and regional flights. The CRJ900 NextGen aircraft offers modern cabin elements including oversized overhead bins, all-leather seating and inflight Wi-Fi. The 76-seat jet features a two-class configuration with 12 First Class, 36 Main Cabin Extra and 28 Main Cabin seats, allowing American to offer an unsurpassed regional customer experience in its most competitive markets.

PSA Airlines to introduce the new Bombardier CRJ900 on July 31
PSA Airlines (2nd) (American Eagle and US Airways Express) (subsidiary of American Airlines Group) will introduce its new Bombardier CRJ900s (three delivered so far) on July 31 per ch-aviation.
Although painted in American Eagle colors (above), the CRJ900s will initially be operated for US Airways mainly from the Charlotte and Philadelphia hubs.

Bombardier delivers the first CRJ900 to American for PSA Airlines
Bombardier Aerospace (Montreal-Mirabel) has delivered the first of 30 enhanced CRJ900 NextGen aircraft to American Airlines Group Inc. (Dallas/Fort Worth). The aircraft will be operated by American Airlines Group wholly owned subsidiary PSA Airlines, Inc. (Dayton) under the American Eagle brand. The purchase agreement for the aircraft, which was announced in December 2013, also included options on an additional 40 CRJ900 NextGen aircraft.

PSA Airlines currently operates as an US Airways Express operator.
Previously the aircraft was unveiled to American Airlines employees and PSA Airlines employees at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and in Dayton, Ohio.
American Airlines is the first customer to take delivery of the enhanced CRJ900 NextGen regional jet, which provides up to 5.5 per cent fuel burn reduction over earlier-generation CRJ900 aircraft.
The delivery ceremony at Bombardier’s Mirabel, Québec, facility was attended by senior executives and employees of American Airlines, PSA Airlines, Bombardier and major suppliers to the CRJ Series regional jet program.
As of March 31, 2014, Bombardier had recorded firm orders for 1,817 CRJ Series aircraft, including 343 CRJ900 and CRJ900 NextGen aircraft. Worldwide, CRJ Series aircraft are in service with more than 60 airlines and more than 30 customers operate corporate variants of the aircraft. The aircraft are operating in more than 50 countries on six continents, and on average, a CRJ aircraft takes off every 10 seconds somewhere in the world. CRJ Series aircraft have transported more than 1.4 billion passengers and have logged more than 39 million flight hours and over 32 million takeoffs and landings.

American Airlines and PSA Airlines show off the first American Eagle Bombardier CRJ900 at DFW
American Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth) and PSA Airlines (2nd) (US Airways Express and American Eagle) (Dayton) yesterday (May 20) showed off the first Bombardier CRJ900 (CL-600-2D24) to the media at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The aircraft was flown by Bombardier.
The aircraft is not officially handed over to American and PSA and currently carries the temporary registration of C-GWGQ (msn 15317). This aircraft is the first of 30 CRJ900s that will be operated for American Eagle. The first delivery will be in June. The routes have not yet been specified.
The aircraft will be on display at the Dayton base today.

American and US Airways announce eight new domestic routes
American Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth), together with US Airways (Dallas/Fort Worth and Phoenix), today announced the addition of eight new domestic routes from its hubs in Charlotte, Chicago (O’Hare), Dallas/Fort Worth, Philadelphia and Phoenix, providing customers increased access to the combined airline’s global network. Scheduled to launch this fall, the new routes include service to five destinations in the Midwest, including Bismarck, North Dakota, a new destination for the combined carrier.
Beginning September 3, 2014, customers in Grand Rapids, Michigan (GRR) will have access to twice-daily nonstop regional service to both Charlotte and Philadelphia. These routes will be operated as US Airways Express with Bombardier CRJs.
The remaining routes will launch on October 2 and include service between:
Charlotte and Evansville, Indiana (EVV), operated three times per day as US Airways Express with a Bombardier CRJ
Charlotte and Fort Wayne, Indiana (FWA), operated daily as US Airways Express with a Bombardier CRJ
Chicago (O’Hare) and Bismarck (BIS), operated daily as American Eagle with an Embraer ERJ 145

US Airways Express/American Eagle to return to Watertown, New York
US Airways (American Airlines) (Phoenix) will resume passenger service to Watertown, New York on May 8. US Airways Express service was last operated in April 2007 from and to Pittsburgh. This time, US Airways Express (soon American Eagle) 50-seat CRJ200s will be operated to and from the Philadelphia hub with two flights a day.

American orders 30 Bombardier CRJ900s to be operated by PSA Airlines and 60 Embraer ERJ 175s
American Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group Inc., announced today that it has signed agreements with Bombardier Inc. and Embraer S.A. to purchase 90 new 76-seat regional jets. Consistent with American’s Plan of Reorganization and Merger Agreement, these aircraft will provide much improved economics for the airline as they will replace smaller, less efficient 50-seat regional aircraft scheduled for retirement.
American has firm orders for 30 Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, with options for up to 40 more. The CRJ900s will have 12 First Class, 32 Main Cabin Extra and 32 Main Cabin seats, and the firm order of CRJ900 aircraft will be operated on behalf of American by PSA Airlines, Inc. (2nd) (Dayton), a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways. American expects to begin taking delivery of the CRJ900s in the second quarter of 2014.
American also has firm orders for 60 Embraer ERJ 175 type aircraft with options for up to 90 more. They will feature 12 First Class, 20 Main Cabin Extra and 44 Main Cabin seats, and American expects to begin taking delivery in the first quarter of 2015. The company will determine which regional carrier will fly the E175s at a later date. Both the CRJ900 and the E175 will fly in the American Eagle livery.
Both the CRJ900 and the E175 are powered by General Electric CF34-8 engines. “GE Aviation has enjoyed a strong relationship with American Airlines and US Airways. We are thrilled to be part of the fleet renewal program underway following the merger,” said Allen Paxson, general manager of the Regional Engines and Services at GE Aviation.
The pilots of PSA Airlines, represented by ALPA, issued this statement on this news:
“The pilots of PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways, welcome the news of American Airlines’ purchase of 30 CRJ900s as an important and exciting step forward for PSA. This firm order fulfills the pledge made to us in a letter of commitment our pilots ratified in September.
“When PSA pilots voted on our new contract in March, and on subsequent agreements, we had to make some difficult decisions. As a result, we preserved core provisions in our contract and improved pilots’ job security here at PSA and career progression to our mainline partner. Today’s announcement of a new aircraft order, coupled with our first scheduled seniority-based interviews at US Airways, prove that our tough decisions have borne fruit.
“While we acknowledge that the planned delivery schedule of these new aircraft is ambitious, the pilots of PSA stand ready to work with our managements to protect and improve our airline and our futures as an integral part of the new American Airlines.”

PSA Airlines’ pilots ratify a new contract, airline to receive 30 large regional jets
PSA Airlines’ (2nd) (US Airways Express) (Dayton) pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), have ratified tentative agreements reached with the managements of PSA Airlines and its parent company, US Airways Group Inc. (Phoenix), that guarantee the placement of 30 large regional jets at PSA. With 85.99 percent of eligible pilots casting their ballots, 61 percent voted in favor of the agreements.
The agreements are contingent on the merger of US Airways Group and AMR Corporation by December 31, 2015.
The agreements include a commitment by US Airways Group to place a minimum of 30 large regional jets on the PSA operating certificate. PSA pilots will also be granted seniority-based interviews and guaranteed additional job offers at US Airways. In exchange, PSA pilots agreed to pay adjustments, changes to medical premiums, and an extension of their contract to 2023. Coming six months to the day after the pilots ratified a new contract, the agreements also provide PSA pilots with greater job security at PSA, furlough protections, and opportunities for first officers to upgrade to captain positions more quickly.

PSA Airlines’ pilots ratify the new contract
PSA Airlines’ (2nd) (US Airways Express) (Dayton), a wholly-owned subsidiary of US Airways (Phoenix), represented by the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), have voted to ratify a new five-year collective bargaining agreement that was reached on February 14. The new contract was ratified by the airline’s 515 ALPA-represented pilots who are based in in Dayton, Ohio; Knoxville, Tennessee and Charlotte, North Carolina.
