Singapore Airlines (Singapore) put its first Airbus A330-343ย (9V-STA) into revenue service today (March 31) between Singapore and Brisbane.

Finnair (Helsinki) on March 26 took delivery of its first (of eight) Airbus A330-302 on March 26.

Volaris to add three U.S. cities

Volaris (volaris.com.mx) (Toluca) will add Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood in June. The low-cost carrier has also applied to serve Los Angeles and Oakland. Volaris will work closely with Southwest Airlines (both carriers announced a new code share agreement last year).

Berjaya Air (Kuala Lumpur) will soon take delivery of its first new ATR 72-500 (ATR 72-212A). Three more copies will follow. The four new turboprops will replace the older de Havilland Canada (Bombardier) DHC-7 Dash 7s on its local routes in Malaysia. The first aircraft (F-WWEC, msn 858) has been painted at the Toulouse factory and will become 9M-TAG on delivery.

Jet Airways (Mumbai) will lease two Airbus A330-200s to Oman Air (Muscat) for six months starting in May 2009.
