Hola Airlines suspends all operations

Hola Airlines (Palma de Mallorca) yesterday (February 15) ceased all operations. The charter airline was operating two Boeing 737-400s (EC-KBO and LAV) and previously operated some Boeing 737-300s and one Boeing 757-200. Hola is the second airline in Spain to cease operations in 2010 (the first one was Quantum Air).

The number of airlines in Spain has dramatically fallen in the last two years (Airclass, Gadair, Girjet, Aircomet, LTE, Futura, Bravo Air, Lagun Air, Orionair, Pronair, Quantum Air and now Hola Airlines) due to the turbulent economic situation of the country.

Hola Airlines was established in 2002 and commenced charter and ACMI operations on May 15, 2002. It was originally established by Mario Hidalgo, who previously ran Air Europe Express, and is now the General Director of Hola Airlines.
