Turkish Airlines to return to Miami

Turkish Airlines (Istanbul) is coming back to Miami. The airline has announced it will restore the Istanbul – Miami route on October 25, this with daily Boeing 777-300 ERs flights. Previously the airline operated the route with Airbus A340-300s and dropped the route in 2001.

Turkish Airlines lands in San Francisco with a new Istanbul-San Francisco Boeing 777-300 logo jet

Turkish Airlines (Istanbul) yesterday (April 13) launched its new route from Istanbul to San Francisco, its seventh U.S. destination.

The pictured Boeing 777-3F2 ER TC-JJU (msn 60401) is painted in this special Istanbul-San Francisco color scheme with scenes on the left side of San Francisco (above) and Istanbul on the right side (below).

Boeing announces its second 777 production increase this year

Boeing (Chicago, Seattle, Wichita and Charleston) announced today it is increasing the production rate again for the Triple Seven. The increase will to go to 8.3 airframes per month by the first quarter of 2013.
