9 air (9air.com) (Jiu Yuan Airlines) (Guangzhou-Baiyun) commenced operations on December 2. The first route connected Guangzhou with Zhanjiang. The new airline is a subsidiary of Juneyao Airlines.

9 air (9air.com) (Nine Star Airways) (Guangzhou and Bangkok) as we previously reported is a new budget airline in China. On August 27 the new company took delivery of its first Boeing 737-800, the pictured 737-8GP B-1715 (msn 39819). The company hopes to launch scheduled passenger operations next month when a second aircraft is delivered.
According to Reuters, 9 Air finalized its order for 50 Boeing 737 jets, becoming the second Chinese carrier which operates an all-Boeing fleet.
The order includes a mix of Boeing Next-Generation 737 jets and 737 MAX aircraft.
9 air is owned by privately held Juneyao Airlines which is an Airbus A320 operator.
Nine Star Airways also intends to operate Airbus A320s from Bangkok.

9 Air (Guangzhou) is China’s newest low-cost airline and is also a subsidiary of Juneyao Airlines (Shanghai). 9 Air is poised to become another all-Boeing operator in China with plans to finalize an order with Boeing for 50 Boeing 737s including the new 737 MAX. The new low-cost carrier plans to launch domestic services to meet growing air traffic demand in China later this year.

Boeing is pleased that 9 Air has committed to 50 Boeing 737s, including Next-Generation 737s and 737 MAXs. The airline intends to introduce the world’s best-selling, 737 family of airplanes into its fleet as it prepares to launch revenue service later this year.
The order will be posted as such to Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries website once all contingencies are cleared.
This is a victory for Boeing as the parent, Juneyao Airlines, is a loyal Airbus A320 operator.
