The route will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer season, with fares starting from ยฃ30.74.*

Worldwide by easyJet explained

โ€˜Worldwide by easyJetโ€™ is the first global airline connections service by a European low fares airline. Legacy airlines have traditionally offered connectivity through costly and complex interline and codeshare agreements and procedures.ย  With Worldwide by easyJet these will be replicated by self-connect and sales partnerships through a digital, virtual hub which will offer the same sort of connectivity but more simply and efficiently.

easyJet has leadership positions at more of Europeโ€™s major airports and flies on more of Europeโ€™s 100 largest routes than any other airline which makes it the most attractive European short haul airline partner.ย The introduction of this disruptive product opens up new 70m market segment for easyJet.

All of this connectivity has been enabled by technology partner Dohop whose innovative platform allows easyJet customers to book connections and forward flights on easyJet.com.ย  Worldwide by easyJet will also allow easyJet passengers to connect with other easyJet flights through partner airports.

Worldwide by easyJet does not impact easyJetโ€™s punctuality, its asset utilisation or operating model. The airline will not hold flights for connecting passengers. Worldwide by easyJet is subject to a 2 hour 30 minute โ€˜Minimum Connection Timeโ€™, which will give customers plenty of time to transfer between flights and/or terminals. Should a passenger miss a connecting flight they will be transferred to the next available flight.

Aeroflot launches its summer timetable

Aeroflot Russian Airlines Airbus A320-214 VP-BDK (msn 2106) (SkyTeam) ZRH (Rolf Wallner). Image: 926327.

On March 25, 2018, Aeroflot will launch its summer timetable, which runs through October 27, 2018.

This summer, Aeroflot will fly to 146 destinations in 52 countries, including Russia.

Six new routes from Moscow will be introduced: to Cairo, Burgas, Naples, Verona, Kyzylorda, Saransk.

The Russian flag carrierโ€™s route network covers 52 routes within Russia, 16 points in seven other CIS countries and 78 other international destinations (55 to Europe, 13 to Asia, five to America, four to the Middle East and one to Africa).

The main news regarding international flights is the resumption of regular flights to Egypt. From April 11, Aeroflot will re-open the Moscow-Cairo route. Flights are scheduled three times per week on Airbus A320 aircraft. From June 12 to July 2 this will increase to daily flights to respond to high demand.

Aeroflot will boost its presence in the Italian market, which is ever-popular with travellers. From July 1, Russiaโ€™s leading airline will open two new routes: Moscow-Verona and Moscow-Naples. Flights on each of these routes will operate daily on aircraft of the A320 family. In addition, the new season will see an increase in the number of flights between Moscow and Bologna (from 14 to 21 flights per week).

Aeroflotโ€™s route network will expand to include one more European destination: from July 2 daily flights will begin from Moscow to Burgas, the famous Bulgarian resort.

In the coming season, Aeroflot plans to expand its presence in Kazakhstan. From July 15, flights will begin between Moscow and Kyzylorda. Flights between the Russian capital and this major center of oil and gas production in Kazakhstan will operate four times a week on aircraft of the A320 family. With the opening of this new route, the Aeroflot network will cover nine destinations across Kazakhstan. Additionally, the frequency of flights to current destinations will increase: from Moscow to Astana (from nine to 12 flights per week) and Aktobe (from four to seven flights per week).

From May 1, Aeroflot will begin direct flights from Moscow to Saransk, the capital of Mordovia. The service will operate twice daily.

Aeroflotโ€™s summer schedule will see a significant increase in the frequency of flights across a number of routes in comparison with the winter season.

Aeroflot flights from Moscow to the following destinations will increase: Kaliningrad (from 28 to 42 flights per week), Kazan (from 47 to 49 flights per week), Nizhny Novgorod (from 35 to 42 flights per week ), Samara (from 42 to 49 flights per week), Krasnoyarsk (from 21 to 28 flights per week), Murmansk (from 21 to 28 flights per week), Novosibirsk (from 21 to 28 flights per week), Novy Urengoy (from seven to 13 flights per week), Perm (from 37 to 42 flights per week), Saratov (from 14 to 21 flights per week), Syktyvkar (from 14 to 21 flights per week), Ufa (from 35 to 42 flights per week), and Khanty-Mansiysk (from seven to 14 flights per week).

In line with seasonal demand, the airline will also increase the frequency of flights to international resorts: Antalya (from seven to 21 flights per week), Athens (from 14 to 21 flights per week), and Barcelona (from 23 to 29 flights per week).

Compared to the winter 2017/2018 season, Aeroflot will fly more frequently from Moscow to capital cities across Europe: Athens (from 14 to 21 flights per week),ย  Budapest (from 21 to 28 flights per week), Bucharest (from seven to 14 flights per week), Vilnius (from 14 to 21 flights per week), Madrid (from 14 to 21 flights per week), Prague (from 35 to 42 flights per week), and Tallinn (from 14 to 21 flights per week).

Aeroflotโ€™s route network will be complemented by the extensive geography of its subsidiary airlines.

Air France to add seasonal service to 5 new Mediterranean destinations

Air France Airbus A319-111 F-GRHX (msn 1524) TLS (Paul Bannwarth). Image: 939753.

Air France on July 19, 2018 will add twice-weekly seasonal service to Dubrovnik with Airbus A319s. The flag carrier is also adding service to four other Mediterranean destinations for the summer:

  • Bari, Cagliari, Dubrovnik, Ibiza and Perpignan on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle;
  • from July 16 to September 2, 2018;
  • Optimum use of the fleet for leisure travellers.

For summer 2018, Air France will offer 5 new destinations on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle โ€“ Bari in Italy, Cagliari in Sardinia (Italy), Dubrovnik in Croatia, Ibiza in Spain and Perpignan in France.

To Bari, Air France customers will be able to reach the city with 5 weekly flights operated by Airbus A320 and Airbus A319 from July 18, to September 2, 2018.

  • Bari, the capital of Puglia, is a must-see city in Italy. By bicycle or on foot, on the seafront or in the heart of the old town, Bari captivates its visitors with its history, its medieval walls, romantic walks and perpetual sunshine.

To Cagliari, customers will enjoy a daily flight operated by HOP! with Embraer 190 from July 16 to September 2, 2018.

  • Cagliari, a typically Mediterranean city, is the capital of Sardinia. Cagliari spreads across several hills, with the cityโ€™s castle and historic centre perched high on top of the highest hill.ย  ย Its surrounding natural parks are also popular with travelers who come to admire its flora and fauna.

To Dubrovnik, the company will operate 2 weekly flights by Airbus A319 from July 19 toย September 1, 2018.

  • Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic, offers from the top of the city walls views of its sparkling red tile roofs, set against the shimmering turquoise waters of the Adriatic. The old town, included in the Unesco list of world heritage sites, is full of historical treasures. The marble streets of the medieval city will enthrall travellers.

To Ibiza, Air France will offer 3 weekly flights operated by Airbus A319 from July 18 to September 2, 2018.

  • Ibiza, the paradox, is a pure delight by day and night. The sunshine, which the island enjoys practically all year round, will win over Air France customers as soon as they get off the plane. This slice of paradise offering beautiful rural landscapes, culture and leisure has something to suit everyone. Its sandy beaches and creeks compete with the hinterland. ย Also known as the Island of Pine Trees, Ibiza is a Unesco world heritage site.

To Perpignan, customers will enjoy 5 weekly flights operated by HOP! with Embraer 190 from July 16 to September 2, 2018.

  • Perpignan, the Catalan, is nestled between the sea and the mountains, surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and the Corbiรจres mountain range. Former capital of the Kingdom of Mallorca, its town centre and typical bright-coloured walls recall its Spanish influences.

Fleet optimization on the medium-haul network

These 5 new destinations are in addition to the launch of the following seasonal services โ€“ Paris-Charles de Gaulle โ€“ Agadir, Marseille โ€“ Athens, Marseille โ€“ Beirut, Nice โ€“ Tel Aviv, Nice โ€“ Athens, Nice โ€“ Beirut, Toulouse โ€“ Athens, Montpellier โ€“ Ibiza, Marseille โ€“ Geneva, Toulon โ€“ Geneva and Toulouse – Ibiza. In total, Air France will offer 16 new short and medium-haul services this summer.

Air France is rolling out its offer to these new Mediterranean destinations in order to meet its customersโ€™ expectations in the best possible way.ย  The fewer trips made by business travellers in July and August enable the company to redeploy its aircraft in the summer.
