Alrosa Tupolev Tu-154M RA-85684 crash lands in Siberia

Alrosa Mirny Air Enterprise (Mirny) lost its Tupolev Tu-154M RA-85684 (msn 90A-851) in Siberia on September 7. The airliner while operating flight 6R 514 from Polyarny to Moscow (Domodedovo) with 72 passengers and nine crew members suffered a complete in-flight electrical failure. An emergency landing was made at the closed Izhma Airport. The aircraft overran the overgrown runway on landing and was substantially damaged. All 81 people on board survived the crash landing. The aircraft is a write off since it will not be able to be recovered.

Polish Air Force Tupolev Tu-154M crashes on approach to Smolensk with Polish President Lech Kaczynski and 86 others

Polish Air Force (Warsaw) Tupolev Tu-154M 101 (msn 90A837) VIP transport has crashed on approach near the Smolensk Airport in Russia, about 275 miles west of Moscow near the Polish border. The aircraft was attempting to land in the fog. Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife were aboard the plane, according to the Polish foreign ministry. A total of 96 people have died in the crash.

President Kaczynski was on board along with his wife Maria and several senior government figures. They were in Russia to mark the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre, where Soviet troops killed thousands of Poles in World War II.

Taban Air Tupolev Tu-154M RA-85787 crashes and burns in Mashhad, Iran

Taban Air’s (Tehran) Tupolev Tu-154M RA-85787 (msn 93A971) has crashed and burned on landing at Mashhad, Iran this morning (January 24). There were reports of 43 injured passengers and crew.

Caspian Airlines Tu-154M EP-CPG crashes

Caspian Airlines (Tehran) lost one its Tupolev Tu-154M EP-CPG (msn 87A748) this morning on flight RV 7908 between Tehran and Yerevan. All 168 passengers and crew died in the crash. The airliner crashed in a field creating a crater after takeoff from Tehran, approximately 75 miles northwest of Tehran in the village of Jannatabad.
