Jetairfly to establish a new base at Antwerp

Jetairfly (Jetairfly.com) (Brussels) with the delivery of its third Embraer 190 will establish a new base at Antwerp. Starting in April 2015 Jetairfly will start flying from Antwerp Airport to Mallorca, Malaga and Alicante.

Jetairfly.com is a brand name of Tui Airlines Belgium NV. Jetairfly.com is a part of TUI Travel PLC, the largest tourism group in the world, with its headquarters in the United Kingdom.

Arke takes delivery of its first Boeing 787, PH-TFK arrives in Amsterdam

Boeing (Chicago and Seattle) and Arke (formerly Arkefly) (Amsterdam) today celebrated the arrival of the airline’s first 787-8 Dreamliner at the Dutch carrier’s base at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The pictured 787-8 PH-TFK (msn 36427) departed Paine Field in Everett, Washington on Wednesday (June 4) on its delivery flight to the Netherlands. Arke is part of TUI Travel PLC, the largest tourism group in the world.

Arke will use the 787 on its service between Amsterdam and the islands of Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire in the Dutch Caribbean. The airplane is the first of three Dreamliners to join the carrier’s all-Boeing fleet that also includes Next-Generation 737s and 767-300 ERs (Extended Range). TUI Travel has ordered a total of 15 787-8s, of which six have been delivered and are currently in operation with three of the six airlines it operates; Thomson Airways, Jetairfly and now Arke.

Jetairfly takes delivery of its first Boeing 787-8

Jetairfly (TUI Airlines Belgium) (Brussels) and Boeing on December 3 celebrated the delivery of the airline’s first Boeing 787-8 (OO-JDL, msn 34425) named “Diamond” (above). The airplane departed Paine Field in Everett on Tuesday on its delivery flight to Brussels.

The 787 is scheduled to begin flying short and medium haul Jetairfly routes in early December and long haul routes between Christmas and the New Year.

Jetairfly is part of the TUI Travel PLC, the largest tourism group in the world.

TUI Travels orders two more Boeing 787-8s for Thomson Airways

Boeing (Chicago) and TUI Travel PLC (London) have completed an order for two 787-8 Dreamliners. The deal, worth $424 million at current list prices, extends TUI Travel’s 787 commitment to 15 airplanes. TUI took delivery of its first 787-8 Dreamliner in May and now has four airplanes in service with Thomson Airways (London-Luton and Manchester).

TUI Travel originally ordered the 787 in February 2005. Currently, the Group’s subsidiary Thomson Airways is using the airplane on such routes as Thailand, Caribbean and the Maldives.
