AeroSvit struggles to maintain operations
AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines (Kiev), which filed for bankruptcy protection and reorganization on December 29, is struggling to maintain its downsized operations on schedule. One flight from Bangkok to Kiev was delayed due to problems with the prompt payments for airport services in Bangkok due to the time difference and being on a cash basis. The airline has apologized an stated the transfer of funds had been delayed according to this report by the Kyiv Post.
The airline has called on its service providers to fulfill their contractual agreements.
As previously reported, AeroSvit is turning over most of its European routes to Ukraine International Airlines (UIA).

AeroSvit Airlines files for bankruptcy protection, operations continued
AeroSvit Airlines (AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines) (Kiev) today (January 4) issued the following statement:
On December 29, 2012, Kyiv Regional Commercial Court decreed to commence bankruptcy proceedings regarding Private Joint-Stock Company “AeroSvit Airlines”.
However, as of today the airline is not bankrupt, as AeroSvit Airlines does not stop its operations and will continue to fulfill its current commitments to its contractors.
The airline’s management remains unchanged and keeps functioning, with all procedures assuring normal operational activities, including flight safety assurance, being carried out in full extent.
Planned company’s reorganization forms part of the change program initiated by the airline in order to restore its operating efficiency and increase revenue inflows.

Boeing delivers the first 737-800 to AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines
AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines (Kiev) on March 27 accepted its first Boeing 737-800. 737-84R UR-AAN (msn 38119) has now joined the colorful fleet.

AeroSvit to launch the Odessa-Berlin route on March 25 with new Embraer ERJ 190s
AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines (Kiev) is planning to launch the Odessa-Berlin (Tegel) route on March 25, 2012 according to Airline Route. The new route will be operated four times a week with the new Embraer ERJ 190. The company has 10 ERJ 190s on order.

AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines to fly Antonov An-148 internationally next month

AeroSvit to suspend five cities this winter
AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines (Kiev) is “optimizing” its winter schedule by dropping service for the winter season to five cities (Almaty, Cairo, Delhi, Hamburg and Toronto) and code sharing with both air Baltic and Aeroflot Russian Airlines.

AeroSvit introduces the An-148-100B
AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines (Kiev) as the launch customer on June 2 introduced the Antonov An-148-100B (UR-NTA, msn 0101) with the first revenue flight linking Kiev (Boryspil) and Kharkov. Nine more copies will follow UR-NTA. UR-NTA also introduced a new livery for the company.
