Thomas Cook Airlines (Thomas Cook.com) (Manchester) has added Aviation Partners Boeing Blended Winglets to its Boeing 767-31K ER G-TCCA (msn 27205).

Thomson Airways (London-Luton) is planning to operate its Boeing 757-28A G-OOBF (msn 33101) for TCS and Starquest Expeditions on an around the world tour. The airliner will depart for the United States tomorrow.

Aer Lingus’ Airbus A330-301 EI-DUB goes to Vladivostok Air

Blue Line paints its DC-9-83 F-GMLU for the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour

Blue Line (Paris-CDG) on January 10 rolled out at Manchester its McDonnell Douglas DC-9-83 (MD-83) registered F-GMLU (msn 49398). The airliner is now painted in the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour livery for the next phase of the on-going tour.

Thai Airways International to turn over three domestic routes to Nok Air

Thai Airways International (Bangkok) is ending its estranged relationship with Nok Air (Bangkok) and will turn over three domestic routes to the low-cost carrier on March 1, 2010. Thai owns 39 percent of the Nok shares.

Alitalia repaints Boeing 777-243 ER I-DISA

Alitalia (2nd) (Rome) is slowly repainting its fleet in the revised 2006 colors, including now the Boeing 777s.

Bmi to return Airbus A330s, will also end long-haul flights

Bmi (British Midland Airways) (East Midlands and London Heathrow) will return its Airbus A330-200s and will end its long-haul services in an attempt to reduce its losses. The company will cut 600 jobs, reduce its fleet by nine aircraft and cut seven routes (including Tel Aviv and Kiev).

VLM Airlines being rebranded as CityJet

VLM Airlines (Antwerp) has started repainting its fleet into CityJet’s 2007 colors. CityJet will be the surviving carrier when Air France subsidiary CityJet (Dublin) is merged with VLM. The two carriers will operate under the CityJet name starting on January 1, 2010. However both carriers will continue to operate under each AOC until this date.

Titan Airways (London-Stansted) has added “Pixie Lott” (Victoria Louise Lott) titles to its Boeing 757-2Y0 G-ZAPU (msn 26151) for the upcoming Baby-G tour. ย Pixie will be introducing her “Turn it Up” album on September 14.
