Boeing (Chicago, Seattle, Wichita and Charleston, SC) on October 17 delivered the new 777-367 ER B-KPL (msn 36161) to BOC Aviation for its customer Cathay Pacific Airways (Hong Kong). The jetliner is painted in the Oneworld color scheme. B-KPL is the 12th 777-367 ER for Cathay Pacific.

FedEx Express (Memphis) yesterday (September 22) took delivery of its first Boeing 777F freighter (777-FS2, N850FD, msn 37721). The 777F will fly between the United States and Asia. The 777F will be capable of flying 5,800 nautical miles, 2,100 nm further than the McDonnell Douglas MD-11F it will replace.

Cathay Pacific Airways (Hong Kong) will sell its HAECO stake to its largest shareholder, Swire Pacific, to raise cash. Cathay will also sell and lease-back six new Boeing 777-300 ERs on order to raise additional capital.

Sun Country Airlines (MN Airlines LLC dba) (Minneapolis/St. Paul) reported a first quarter net profit of $8.1 million. This is a reversal of a net loss of $8.3 million in the same period a year ago.

LAN Cargo’s (LAN Airlines) (Santiago) will take delivery of its first (of four)ย brand new Boeing 777-F6N registered N772LA (msn 37708) in a ceremony on April 16 at Everett. It is due to then ferry to Miami where it will enter revenue cargo service between MIA and SCL on April 17.
