Wow Air adds new seasonal service to Orlando

Wow Airย continues to extend its North American growth by announcing a new route from Orlandoย International Airport (MCO) to Keflavik International Airport (KEF). The inaugural flight will take-off before the end of the year on December 18, 2018.

Orlando is the airline’s 14 U.S. destination and service from MCO will be offered seasonally from December through the end of April, three days a week.

To celebrate the launch of the new route, WOW air is offering $99 one-way fares from Orlando to Iceland (KEF) and $149 one-way fares from Orlando to London (LGW), Frankfurt (FRA), Edinburgh (EDI), Dublin (DUB), Paris (CDG), Copenhagen (CPH), Stockholm (ARN), Brussels (BRU), Berlin (SFX) and Amsterdam (AMS). Travelers looking to travel beyond Europe can purchase $399 one-way flights to New Delhi (DEL) from Orlando. The special fares will be available for travel between January and March 2019 when booking a round-trip ticket.

WOW Air to start service to New Delhi, India in December

Wow Air will launch its much anticipated flight service from the U.S. to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in New Delhi, India via Iceland beginning onย December 5, 2018.

To celebrate, Wow Air is offering one-way tickets to the Indian capital for $199*.

The one-way $199* sale price tickets to DEL will be available from Boston (BOS), Washington D.C./Baltimore ย (BWI), New York (EWR), Chicago (ORD), Detroit (DTW), Los Angeles (LAX), and San Francisco (SFO) via Iceland (KEF).

At the end of 2018, the airline will offer service to New Delhi from Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Detroit (DTW), New York (EWR), Los Angeles (LAX), Pittsburgh (PIT), San Francisco (SFO), St. Louis (STL), and Washington D.C./Baltimore (BWI).

Wow Air will use brand new Airbus A330neo aircrafts on the Delhi route, which are outfitted with WOW premium seats offering at least 37 inches of legroom.

Wow Air to launch new routes from the USA to India via Iceland

Wow Airย announced it will launch new connecting routes from the U.S. to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi, India via Iceland. The routes will provide millions of Americans in nine major cities across the country affordable access to the bustling Indian metropolis. The Delhi route will launch onย December 5, 2018.

Service to DEL will be available from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL).

WOW air will use its brand new Airbus A330neo aircraft on the Delhi route with its new Wow Premium seats.

Wow Air introduces new Wow Premium Fares

Wow Air, Iceland’s ultra-low-fare transatlantic airline, announces WOW premium, a new full-service ticket bundle that is perfect for the business or leisure traveler seeking a more inclusive travel experience. This new offering from Wow Air will rival similar business services offered on legacy carriers with the fares remaining closer to what consumers have come to know and expect from the innovative Icelandic airline.

The WOW premium ticket bundle includes: the WOW air BigSeat, featuring a wider seat with a foot rest and at least 37 inches of legroom; priority boarding and fast track security; an in-flight meal and drinks; two checked bags; one carry-on item; one personal item; and no change fee for rescheduling and cancellation protection.

WOW premium is an enhanced version of the WOW biz offering that was announced in 2017.

Wow Air to launch low-cost flight from New York JFK to Iceland this spring

Wow Airย will begin service out of John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on April 27, 2018, giving New York passengers the opportunity to visit some of the most popular European destinations just in time for spring. Travelers still have the option to fly out of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) as well, with a total of 20 weekly flights from both JFK and EWR.

For a limited time, $99ย tickets will be available from JFK and EWR to Keflavik (Reykjavik), Iceland and $149ย tickets from EWR to Amsterdam (AMS), Berlin (SXF) and Paris(CDG) and from JFK to London (STN), Paris (CDG) and Amsterdam (AMS).

 

Launched in November 2011, Wow Air now connects 38 destinations across the U.S. and Europe with the Icelandic capital. In 2016, WOW Air flew with 1,668,773 passengers in total, which is an increase of 130% from 2015.

Wow Air to launch low-fare flights from New York JFK

First A321neo, delivered on June 21, 2017

Wow Airย will begin service to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) this spring, with the inaugural flight from the United States’ busiest international airport scheduled for April 26, 2018.

Additionally, the airline is extending service out of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) with 13 flights per week starting May 2018.

$99 one-way tickets from JFK will go on sale for passengers looking to travel to
Paris,Amsterdam, London Stansted, Frankfurt, Dublin, Copenhagen and Berlin.

 

To celebrate the new route, special prices will also be available out of the following US cities to select locations:

  • From Newark (EWR), Cleveland (CLE) and Cincinnati (CVG) to Paris (CDG), Amsterdam (AMS), London (STN), Frankfurt (FRA), Dublin (DUB), Copenhagen (CPH) and Berlin (SXF) via Iceland.

Wow Air becomes the first Airbus A321neo operator in Europe

Wow Air, the Icelandic low-fare carrier, has taken delivery of its first A321neo (A321-253N TF-SKY, msn 7694) at a ceremony during the 52nd Le Bourget Paris airshow. The aircraft was officially handed over to the airlineโ€™s Chief Executive Officer, Skรบli Mogensen. The aircraft leased from Air Lease Corporation will join WOW airโ€™s existing all Airbus Fleet of 15 A320 Family aircraft.

The aircraft, powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, is configured in a comfortable 218 seat layout. WOW airโ€™s A321neo will be based at Keflavik airport in Iceland and operate commercial flights from Europe to North America.

Wow Air takes delivery of its first Airbus A320neo

Wow Air (Keflavik) has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo on lease from ย Air Lease Corporation (ALC). Wow Air is an all Airbus operator with 12 aircraft in its fleet to date.

The pictured A320-251N TF-NEO (msn 7560) will feature a single-class cabin layout with 180 seats.
The airline has chosen CFM engines to power the aircraft that will operate throughout Europe.

Wow Air is coming to Montreal and Toronto

Wow Air (Keflavik) has announced it will add two new low-fare routes starting in May 2016 to both Montreal (Trudeau) (starting on May 12) and Toronto (Pearson) (May 20) from Keflavik (near Reykjavik).

Wow Air coming to Canada

The new routes will utilize 200-seat Airbus A321s. The routes will be year-round and will operate four days a week.

Wow Air is welcomed at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

Wow Air (Keflavik) as planned, started its low-fare service from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) to Keflavik (KEF) (near Reykjavik) yesterday (May 8). Initially the new route will operate four days a week with the new Airbus A321s. On June 11 this will expand to five days a week. The carrier also started service to Boston on March 27.
