Spirit Airlines to add two routes this winter from Latrobe

Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) has announced it is starting new seasonal service between Arnold Palmer Regional Airport serving Latrobe (near Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania (LBE) and two additional Florida cities – Tampa (TPA) and Fort Myers (RSW) starting on December 18, 2014.

These nonstop seasonal flights are in addition to Spirit’s regular, year-round service to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and Orlando.

Spirit Airlines announces new seasonal service from Boston to West Palm Beach

Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) has announced new seasonal service between Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS) and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), serving West Palm Beach, Florida starting on November 21, 2014.

Spirit offers nonstop service from Boston to seven cities, including Atlantic City, Chicago/O’Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Fort Myers, Myrtle Beach, and beginning in November, West Palm Beach.

Spirit Airlines announces new routes from Houston and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood

Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) continues to quickly grow its network. It is the growth airline in the United States. The ultra low-fare airline has announced that it is starting new service between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and two new cities – Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood (FLL) and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) starting on August 1, 2014.

Additionally Spirit announced that it is starting new service between Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport and three other new cities, including Atlanta (ATL) starting on August 1, 2014, and to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood (FLL) and San Diego (SAN) starting on September 3, 2014. These new routes join new service from Houston to Kansas City (MCI) that begins on August 7, 2014.

Spirit Airlines announces new seasonal summer routes

Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) has announced several new routes starting just in time for the peak summer travel season. Joining the list is new nonstop seasonal service between Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). This new service will consist of one daily seasonal nonstop flight operating between May 22, 2014 and November 1, 2014.

Spirit recently announced seasonal service operating May 22, 2014 through November 1, 2014 from Chicago/O’Hare (ORD) to Baltimore/Washington, DC (BWI) and Portland, OR (PDX); operating May 1, 2014 through November 1, 2014 from Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) to Baltimore/Washington, DC (BWI) and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH); and daily year-round nonstop service between Chicago/O’Hare and Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area beginning May 1, 2014.

Spirit Airlines turns to aircraft advertising for additional revenue

Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) known for its ultra low fare model (based on Ryanair) which charges for everything else besides a basic seat on airplane, is taking a page out of the old Western Pacific Airlines (Colorado Springs) book to raise additional revenue through aircraft exterior advertising.

Airbus A320-232 N618NK (msn 5458) is now adverting the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (one of its growth airports) with this unique “Greetings from Fort Worth” “aircraft postcard”.
