Blue Bird Airways to acquire its first aircraft

Blue Bird Airways (Heraklion) is getting ready to take delivery of its first aircraft.

Established in 2008 the charter airline has been wet leasing aircraft from SkyExpress.

Tailwind Airlines (Istanbul) has acquired Boeing 737-4Q8 N784AS (msn 28199) from Alaska Airlines. This airliner was formerly painted in the “We’re going to Disneyland” special color scheme.

LOT Polish Airlines introduces a new livery for its LOT Charters division

LOT Polish Airlines (Warsaw) in December 2009 introduced this new “sunny face” livery on its Boeing 737-4Q8 SP-LLK (msn 25740). This new color scheme replaces the now dated Centralwings livery worn by the charter division.

Tailwind Airlines (Istanbul) received its AOC on May 12, 2009 and commenced scheduled and charter services with three ex-Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-4Q8s (TC-TLA, TC-TLB and TC-TLC). The new airline is serving Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Istanbul and Izmir in Turkey and also Tehran and Tel Aviv. In July it will be flying an expanded schedule to Europe including Amsterdam, Bilbao and Madrid.
