Delta to increase the New York-Athens frequencies for the next summer season

Delta Air Lines (Atlanta) is increasing its flights from New York John F. Kennedy International Airport to Athens International Airport for the 2015 summer season.

Delta will resume operations with a five-times weekly service from March 30, 2015, growing to daily on May 2, 2015. From June 2, 2015, additional flights will be added bringing the weekly total to 11. During the peak summer months, Delta will offer up to 5,900 weekly seats between Greece and the United States. All services from Athens are operated in conjunction with Deltaโ€™s joint venture partners Air France-KLM and Alitalia.

Deltaโ€™s Athens services are operated using Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 767-300 aircraft.

Gulf Air today returns to Athens

Gulf Air (Bahrain) today (June 16) celebrated the resumption of operations to Athens with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at Bahrain International Airport and attended by members of Gulf Airโ€™s executive management team, Civil Aviation Authority, Bahrain Airport Services, Police Directorate of Bahrain International Airport, Public Administration of Ports Security, Department of Immigration and Passports, Airportโ€™s National Security Department officials, and passengers travelling on the airlineโ€™s inaugural flight.

Gulf Air will be operating four weekly flights to Athens International Airport with an Airbus A320 aircraft in a two-class configuration, featuring 14 Falcon Gold Class seats and 96 Economy Class seats.
