Air Canada to operate weekly Montreal-Curacao Airbus A319 flights

Air Canada (Montreal) will start weekly Airbus A319 mainline service between Montreal (Trudeau) and Curacao starting on January 1, 2015 per Airline Route.

Air Canada:

AirEuropa touches down in Montevideo, adds its first Airbus A330-300

AirEuropa (Air Europa Líneas Aéreas) (Palma de Mallorca) added Montevideo, Uruguay as planned on June 4. The new destination is served from the Madrid hub with Airbus A330-200 aircraft, three days a week.

In other news, AirEuropa has added its first Airbus A330-300.

Orbest Orizonia Airlines’ Airbus fleet to be maintained by Iberia

Orbest Orizonia Airlines (formerly Iberworld Airlines) (Palma de Mallorca) and Iberia (Madrid) have signed a contract for the maintenance of Orbest’s Airbus A320s and A330s. Orbest is a unit of the Orizonia Holiday Group.

Garuda Indonesia leases A330-343X EC-JHP from Iberworld

Garuda Indonesia Airways (Jakarta) leased this Airbus A330-343X EC-JHP (msn 670) from Iberworld in this hybrid livery for the Hajj.

Bangkok Air ATR 72 runs off Koh Samui runway

Bangkok Air (Bangkok) lost its ATR 72-212A (ATR 72-500) HS-PGL (msn 670) in an accident today (August 4) on the resort island of Koh Samui in Thailand. At least one person is dead (the captain) and seven others are injured. The ATR was landing in a rain storm after arriving from Krabi. The airliner ran off the runway crashing into an old (unmanned) control tower.
