Aer Arann’s (Dublin) examinership (bankruptcy protection) has been extended by the High Court in Ireland pending the finalization of a prospective takeover and investment deal.

American Eagle starts Miami-Gainesville and LaGuardia-Minneapolis/St. Paul service

American Eagle Airlines (2nd) (Dallas/Fort Worth) yesterday (October 1)began nonstop service between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV) in Gainesville, FL. Executive Airlines (San Juan) operates the service with 64-seat ATR 72-200 turboprop aircraft.

In addition, American Eagle yesterday also launched four daily nonstop flights between New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP). Eagle flies the route with Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet aircraft, featuring Eagle’s new First Class service.

American Eagle to operate Miami-Gainesville flights

Royal Air Maroc signs contract for new ATRs

Royal Air Maroc (Casablanca) today (June 16) signed a previously-announced contract for the purchase of four ATR 72-600s and two ATR 42-600s for its new Royal Air Maroc Express subsidiary. RAM also secured options for two additional ATR 72-600s. Deliveries will start in 2011. In the meantime in order to launch Royal Air Maroc Express, RAM is leasing four ATR 72-200s from ATR. The first, ATR 72-202 CN-COD (msn 483, ex F-WKVC) was accepted on June 12..

Avanti Air is operating D-ANFC for flyonair.it

Avanti Air (Burbach) is now operating its ATR 72-202 D-ANFC (msn 237) for broker and travel agency flyonair.it (Pescara) effective April 20. The airliner has been painted in full flyonair.it colors and is being operated under an ACMI contract. ย D-ANFC is operating from Pescara to Catania, Milan (Malpensa), Naples, Olbia, Palermo and Turin (Turino).

Royal Air Maroc to launch Royal Air Maroc Express

Royal Air Maroc (Casablanca) will launch a new regional subsidiary called Royal Air Maroc Express this summer. RAM is leasing four used ATR 72-200s from ATR as an interim measure in order to start the new airline. The parent has also ordered two new 48-seat ATR 42-600s and four new 70-seat ATR 72-600s. The new aircraft will start to arrive in the spring of 2011.
