Iberia to add six new routes from Madrid next summer

Iberia (Madrid) is planning to add six new destinations for the next summer season. The flag carrier will add service from Madrid to Budapest (starting on June 2, 2015, three weekly flights), Catania (June 20, one weekly), Florence (March 29, six weekly), Funchal (July 4, twice weekly), Hamburg (March 30, four weekly) and Palermo (June 23, weekly) per Airline Route.

Additionally Iberia Express will add Edinburgh (March 29, four weekly), Naples (June 1, three weekly) and Verona (June 2, three weekly).

Israir Airlines to introduce four new routes

Israir Airlines (Tel Aviv) will commenced weekly Airbus A320 service to Stuttgart, Germany starting on June 4 according to Airline Route.

The company is also introducing three new routes this summer to Memmingen (May 30), Tbilisi (April 2) and Verona (April 3).

Air Dolomiti to operate Bergamo-Munich flights starting on June 2, 2014

Air Dolomiti (Verona), the Lufthansa Group’s Italian airline, will operate flights from Il Caravaggio International Airport in Bergamo Orio al Serio (near Milan) to Munich starting on June 2, 2014.

The new route will operate twice daily (except one flight a day on the weekends).

In other news, Air Dolomiti and Condor Flugdienst (Frankfurt) have agreed to work closely feeding Condor long-haul flights from Frankfurt and Munich from Italy according to airliners.de. Air Dolomiti operates from Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Florence, Genoa, Milan, Palermo, Pisa, Rome (Fiumicino), Turin, Trieste, Venice and Verona.

Adria Airways to start a new base in Verona, Italy in 2014

Adria Airways (Ljubljana) will establish a new base at Verona, Italy in time for the summer 2014 season. It will initially operate from Verona to Brussels, Vienna and Zurich feeding the Lufthansa Group of carriers.

Adria is already basing a Bombardier CRJ900 in Pristina and operating flights to Frankfurt, Munich and its Ljubljana base. The flag carrier has announced it will inaugurate nonstop flights from Tirana to Frankfurt on April 2, 2014 with four flights per week. In the summer of 2014, Adria will also be expanding its flights from Ljubljana to Prague and Warsaw according to this report by Balkans.com.
