Air France by Regional paints its first Embraer ERJ 170 in the revised colors

Regional Compagnie Aerienne Europeenne (Air France by Regional) (Nantes) has repainted its first Embraer ERJ 170 into the updated 2009 Air France livery.

bmibaby introduces a new “Tiny” color scheme on 737-59D G-BVKB

Bmibaby (bmibaby.com) (East Midlands) has modified its color scheme with the first aircraft being this Boeing 737-59D G-BVKB (msn 27268). The former “Children in Need” special color scheme (with balloons) has now been repainted. A new red “Tiny” emblem now adorns a light blue tail. G-BVKB has also been renamed “Jelly Bean”. The use of “Tiny” now matches the use of the figurine on its website.

SA Express introduces a South African-like new livery

SA Express (Johannesburg) is independent of South African Airways but its flights are operated in association with SAA through a strategic alliance. The company was introduced this SAA-like livery that is subtly different.

Olympic Air (3rd) (Athens) will take over as the new Greek flag carrier on September 29. Outgoing Olympic Airlines (2nd) (Athens) will operate its last flights on September 28.

Garuda Indonesia Airways (Jakarta) on July 23, 2009 officially unveiled its new corporate brand. An Airbus A330-200ย and a Boeing 737-800 have been painted in the new livery. The new look comes as the company attempts to update its fleet. The company is adding 25 new Boeing 737-800s starting this month and the first of 10 new Boeing 777-300 ERs will arrive in 2011.

Olympic Air (3rd) (Athens) under new ownership and leadership is adding new aircraft types (Airbus A319s and A320s) as it upgrades the appearance of the flag carrier. The new owners will officially take over on October 1, 2009.

Spanair introduces the first A320 in new colors

The aircraft was painted at Shannon and positioned to Palma de Mallorca on June 5 where it is pictured.  EC-IPI's first revenue flight took place one day later from Palma to Hanover. Spanair (Barcelona) has now introduced its first aircraft in the new colors. Previously the new owners had requested public suggestions on May 13, 2009 for the new design.
